Got a phone call (10:41am) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize. (Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?) They, of course, left no message. They called our cell phone number out of the blue!  I didn't answer since the phone was in my pocket and I was driving.  They called again the next day and I missed the call (intentionally).  I then called their number from my office number.  I could hardly understand the women who answered (sounded indian/asian).  She inquired about the number I was calling about since I told her to remove it from their call list.  She stated it wasn't in her database any more so it must've already been removed.  Then, in an attempt to verify it had been removed, she asked me for my Social Security Number.  I did not provide it; she's gotta be crazy!  I will call them back if they continue; this time I will inform them that it is a government number and will be traced/routed through to the proper authorities.  I won't take this lying down.

1:59PM  Missed the call on my CALIFORNIA cell phone number.  Since our kids live in Oregon and I recognized the area code, I called back on my land line.  Fortunately, from what the comments I've read, I'm extremely glad that the line was busy!  I was concerned that maybe the one of the kids was sick or whatever, and the call was from the school, the sitter or dr's office.  We don't exactly live around the corner anymore but being a parent/grandparent I could authorize treatment if necessary in extreme emergency.  I didn't think of listing our cell nuumbers on www.donotcall.gov.  I'll see if I can block the number as well.  I have a pay-as-you-go cell phone so don't want to waste my minutes at 25 cents each!
